Sonal is a partner at ALN Kenya and is part of the Insolvency team at Adili.
She is a solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales, an advocate of the High Court of Kenya, and a licensed insolvency practitioner in Kenya (one of the first lawyers in the entire country to have qualified as such). She has immense experience in restructurings, insolvency, banking, syndicated and project finance, data protection, corporate commercial matters, aviation finance, and employment. Sonal is the chairperson of the British Chamber of Commerce – Kenya, and is highly recognised for her expertise in Tanzanian law. She is described by Chambers Global 2022 as: “an acknowledged luminary in Kenya, with her highly prized skills sought out by a range of domestic and international clients, including major retail and commercial banks, DFIs and investment funds.” Other directories like Chambers Global, IFLR1000, and Legal 500 rank her as a leading lawyer in Kenya.
