African Art and Networking
In June 2023, our Private Clients and Risk Advisory teams hosted their respective clients for evenings filled with art and cocktails as part of a curated series of events centred around ALN’s African art exhibition titled ‘Africa Re-examined: Through the Lens and Pen’.
The aim of the networking cocktails was to cultivate meaningful connections and facilitate engaging dialogues among our clients. The inaugural cocktail event, stemming from the Africa Energy Forum, successfully convened a diverse array of clients.
The events featured the works of acclaimed artists Mohammed Mo Amin, a photojournalist renowned for capturing Africa’s history, and Godfrey Mwampembwa (Gado), a celebrated political cartoonist known for his insightful creations.
Attendees experienced a captivating art gallery, where Amin’s iconic photographs showcased Africa’s diverse heritage, complemented by Gado’s thought-provoking cartoons that shed light on social and political realities. Gado acknowledged the event’s impact, appreciating art’s potential to drive positive change, and Salim Amin, Mo Amin’s son, emphasized the significance of preserving Africa’s cultural legacy through art.
