The high-level forum brought together a strong cross-section of East Africa’s manufacturing ecosystem, reflecting Kenya’s rising role as a regional hub for industry, energy transition, and technology-driven production.
Chris Diaz EBS, Executive Chairman of Adili Group, called for agile and innovative leadership and coordinated collaboration across borders and sectors to unlock Africa’s manufacturing potential and build sustainable industrial ecosystems, while H.E. Amb. Katalin Nyirati emphasised global partnerships and innovation-led ecosystems. John Mwendwa, OGW, CEO of Kenya Investment Authority (InvestKenya), highlighted Kenya’s competitiveness as a manufacturing destination, and Dr Kenneth Chelule of Special Economic Zones Authority underscored the role of Special Economic Zones in accelerating industrial expansion.
Global investors from China, Japan, Europe, and the United States joined discussions on increasing capital flows into high-value manufacturing and industrial infrastructure.
Across a series of strategic panels, senior leaders from finance, legal, energy, and manufacturing shared practical perspectives on governance, sustainability, financing, and policy alignment. Panelists included Karim Anjarwalla, Rosa Nduati-Mutero, Birju Sanghrajka, Dr. Bimal Kantaria, EBS, OGW, John Okulo, Amyn Mussa, Daniel Ngumy, Joyce Njogu, MCIM, MBA, Sustainability Champion, Matt Lloyd, and Nicholas Tatrallyay. The closing panel featuring Chris Diaz EBS, Elizabeth Wasunna – Ochwa, Carey Ngini, VIMAL SHAH, and Mary Mulili-HSC explored technology and investment shaping the next generation of factories, while Willie Oelofse and Mbabu Muturi addressed risk and cyber resilience as industrial systems become increasingly digitised.
